The Princess prides itself on offering visitors of all sorts the exact dream vacation they’re looking for. The Volivoli resort is a family friendly resort that sits right on the beach and is just ten minutes away from the village of Rakiraki. The resort is also just two hours from Nadi International Airport, which is conveniently located on the same island. And even though Viti Levu is Fiji’s main island, the Volivoli resort is still a well-known secret compared to many of the island’s accommodations. The resort is run by the Darling family, not some corporation, and they’ve been running the resort and caring for its guests since it opened in 2005. The northern tip of Viti Levu doesn’t get as much tourist traffic as the rest of the island, which is exactly why this resort is here amidst the relatively untouched beauty of this part of the island. Taveuni is home to some gorgeous Fiji beaches and there are a few within walking distance of each other on the north side of the island. Horseshoe Bay is one of the island’s best known beaches and was carved out by an extinct volcano called Matangi when it created a half moon that became the beautiful cove and beach. The other must-see beach on Taveuni is Prince Charles Beach. The spot is named for Britain’s Prince Charles who visited Taveuni in back in 1970 when Fiji gained its independence from Britain. Following the ceremony, Charles visited the gorgeous beach and swam in its warm lagoon filled with crystal clear water.  The spot was then named for Charles and visitors to Fiji and to Taveuni often make sure to relax on the golden sands surrounded by swaying palm trees.

It’s a bit hard to believe that Tortola is the largest of the BVI since it’s only 13.5 miles long and only 3 miles wide. But there is a ton of beauty and fun packed into those 21 square miles. Tortola is incredibly convenient to visit as far as tropical islands go, it is accessible by air at an airport on nearby Beef Island, which connects to Tortola by a bridge. And even though Tortola is a British Virgin Island its currency is the U.S. dollar.

The public beach in Cannes that runs along the Promenade de la Croisette has no official fancy French name of its own. Some call the span of smooth sand Croisette Beach, others call it the Beach of Cannes, while locals simply know it as the public beach. It gets that name because there are also private beaches along the stretch which belong to specific hotels or boat clubs. But the public beach is beauty enough for any visitor to Cannes. The famous Doctor’s Cave Beach Club is a picturesque stretch of beach that belonged to Dr. Alexander James McCatty who owned a sanatorium in Montego Bay in 1880. The doctor would let only his private guests use his beach, which could only be reached by walking through a cave and out onto the small beach. McCatty donated the beach to the Montego Bay community in 1906 and it was turned into a club for private members. As time went on the beach became famous for the curative powers believed to be held in its turquoise waters. Mackinac Island is truly a spot that time forgot. It is only accessible by ferry, private boat or by air. Waiheke Island, which is near the north of New Zealand, is just over 10 miles from Auckland, in the Hauraki Gulf. Waiheke is not only the most populated island in the Gulf, it is home to one of the most splendid bays and beaches in the Hauraki Gulf and indeed in all of New Zealand. Onetangi Bay and its namesake beach offer great swimming, surfing and unforgettable sights. The beach stretches for 15 miles, making it the largest beach on the island. And Onetangi is only one of 8 beaches on Waiheke that offer fun in the sun. Onetangi is also the site of sandcastle building contests and the annual Onetangi Beach Races, a huge festival that features races of many sorts on the beach along with food stalls and local goods and fare for sale. With sunny days, cool nights and stunning beauty all around, New Zealand’s Waiheke Island is not to be missed as a trip of a lifetime.

Patong Beach is on the western side of the island of Phuket and is one of the most popular beaches in all of Thailand. Tourists to the park love to snorkel at two islets off the main island called Cayos Zapatillas and the coral gardens. To offset your time spent on the gorgeous, untouched beaches with their decided lack of a lot of people, be sure to take a guided tour of the rainforest. Here you’ll see incredible animals up close such as the white-faced capuchin monkeys. And because the area isn’t as popular as a tourist stop, the inns on the island are remarkably affordable and range from rainforest accommodations with open-air rooms in amidst a canopy of trees to beachside hotels where you live in your very own cottage directly on the water. And these incredible hotels are available for what you would pay at an average motor lodge in an average town in America. This Panamanian spot truly is a paradise that is still so affordable.

Cable Beach itself is four miles long and is split up by large resort hotels and clusters of rock formations. At the east end of Cable Beach it is connected to Goodman’s Bay, which is a crescent-shaped beach of white sand against the bright blue sky and water. To the west of Cable Beach is the family favorite Sandyport Beach. The water is gentle in this spot and there is less of the crazy casino crowd found in many other spots of Cable Beach. For these reasons Sandyport has become a well-known spot for families. There are some beautiful reefs in the area, but they’re far enough offshore that you must take a boat out to them. It’s worth the ride though; the snorkeling in the area is wonderful.

Many of the coastal towns in South Carolina draw an endless stream of seasonal sun seekers and spots such as Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head are known throughout the world as premier beach destinations. But South Carolina is also home to smaller, lesser known islands that offer all the same beauty of their more popular neighbors, but with fewer people and far less congestion. Pawley’s Island is one such spot. Located just over an hour north of Charleston and less than a half hour south of Myrtle Beach, Pawley Island is a three-mile stretch of Atlantic Ocean coastal beauty that dates back all the way to the 1700s. In fact, some of the houses and structures in the island’s historic district actually date back that far. In addition to its rich history, Pawley offers just as much beach fun and relaxation as any other spot in South Carolina. St. George Island State Park consists of miles of undeveloped beaches. These soft, powdery sands are perfect for sunbathing or collecting seashells and the blue waters are wonderful for swimming or canoeing. There are two boat ramps allows small boats to pull up to the island from the bay. If you bring your own supplies you can enjoy a day or much longer in St. George Island State Park. Tel Aviv has beaches that are meant for everyone, from an orthodox beach that has different days of usage for men and women, to gay beaches that draw huge crowds of the world’s LGBT community. Hilton Beach is known for having a “waveless sea” that is as calm as a pool because of its location on the left part of the breakwater. The Aqua Alert is a wristband with an attached alarm that is activated when it gets wet. This is an extremely loud alarm that can be heard more than 100 feet away. The wristband itself is adjustable and can fit any child from the age of 2 and up. The wristband also has a safety latch so that it cannot be removed by the child. It is so easy at the beach to turn your back for two seconds while your little one decides to abandon his sand castle a few feet from you and head down to check out the water.
