Choosing a beautiful beach upon which to spend a day in Aruba is like choosing a chocolate candy bar. You may have a particular favorite, but it’s kind of tough to find a bad one. Like with most tropical islands, there is a beach to suit most moods and needs on Aruba; if you’re looking for tons of activity and exciting water sports you go one place, and if you’re looking for peace, quiet and solitude you go to another. Baby Beach is a right in the middle with a little from column A and a little from column B in terms of excitement, crowds, and peaceful beauty. And it’s definitely made a name for itself as one of the best beaches in Aruba.
Baby Beach is known for having unbelievably calm waters in its lagoon that are bathtub-like in their warmth. This warm, soothing lagoon draws visitors to Aruba and locals alike, which is why the beach sometimes goes from calm to hectic, depending on the size of the crowd that day. Baby Beach is on the southeastern end of the island and its unique lagoon makes it a great spot for families because you can go out quite a ways into the water and still touch the bottom of the shallow lagoon. The beach does, however, rent gear for snorkeling because beyond the lagoon where the bay meets the Caribbean, there is a large amount of coral and tropical fish to be viewed. Baby Beach also has a refreshment stand, a bar and grill, beach beds and huts placed around the beach to give you a place to change and get out of the sun for a moment.
